Just a note..

Image
Lately I've been obsessed with stationary and greeting cards. I remember getting my first set of stationary with "Patricia" displayed so perfectly across the front of the cards when I was probably eight, and my parents wouldn't have wanted it any other way, trust me. Although I grew up when sending thank-you cards was occurring less and less and my parents were easing up on being so strict (the perks of being the baby of the family) I still heard the endless stories of my siblings having to sit at the dining room table and write thank-you cards after their birthdays and other holidays. It may not have been forced upon me but I am one person that truly sees the point behind sending a personal note via snail mail. Or personally delivering it.

This Quote.

This quote hits home lately. I've been a little homesick and wanting to change things that can't reasonably be changed. Hope ya'll enjoy this as much as I do.

New Week

Image
I decided over the weekend that I can't be tied to a laptop throughout the week and that I needed to keep my space. So unless it's a SPECTACULAR day and reason I'll be sharing my thankfulness throughout the regular work-week, or something like that. Today, I am loving my coffee and tea relationships. I posted this picture on IG a little bit ago and I just love how much of my personality is in it. From the Eiffel Tower mugs to the specific kinds of tea I enjoy. This is a perfect morning for me; in a nutshell at least.

The Big Apple

I'm a traveler inside and out. There's not much more exciting than discovering a new place to go. One of my favorites: NYC I also happen to love shopping. How original, huh? Well… I can tell you some of my favorite shops are in Manhattan. The most popular shops ranging from 5th Avenue to 40th - 57th St. They have just about everything there. (High-end, designer stores like Chanel to more affordable stores like H&M) I recommend checking out Herald Square by Grand Central Station. Also, the majority of my unique pieces were found in the SoHo area where you'll find stores that aren't in a regular city. If you're like me and plan on spending a good amount of your time in NYC emptying out your bank account I suggest creating a shopping plan as the city can be overwhelming. Happy shopping!

Apartment Score

We are patiently waiting for the pool to open at our apartment complex. I haven't experienced a Summer in Oklahoma yet, but from what I hear there will be an umbearable amount of heat. This will be the perfect "cool off".

Spring Showers bring Great Flowers

Image
Many people who know me know that my favorite season is Autumn. Today, I questioned whether it may be Spring. The flowers and plants I want to decorate our outdoor space seemed to bring a special kind of life to the day. Some plants still weathered the terrible wind storms and colder temperatures that just recently passed, but like every Spring I realized just how happy the blooming and brighter colors made everyone around me. Here's a picture of some of my favorite, inexpensive, and brightening plants. I'm a sucker for anything pretty or that has potential to be- I can admit that.

Cotton Candy Skies

I recently went to Fort Myers Beach, Fl. There's always something special about that area. The brisk pace. Walks on the beach. AND Cotton Candy Skies. I don't normally wake up early enough to take these beautiful pictures, but one morning I popped out of bed and ran to the beach. The sleepy look on my face began to fade at the view. Whose wouldn't?! I'd do anything to have this view every morning but I'm beyond grateful for the weeks I have spent here and the happiness it brings me.

The Start of Something New

Image
Hey y'all! This is my first blog post (that I won't write and then decide later to delete). A great friend of mine emailed me a while back with an idea to help open our eyes on the wonderful aspects of our lives that we got too comfortable with and overlooked. It was simple, really. All we had to do was share a picture a day of something that made us happy, grateful, or impressed. Unfortunately, it was an idea we never followed through on. Today I've decided that I want to try it out. Here. On my blog that never really had a purpose or personality. I won't post everyday but when I do I'll try and make it positive! What do I have to lose? And if anyone else can gain appreciation through my thoughts, well, that's a bonus I will gladly accept. Day 1: This isn't the best example, but I am grateful for having the ability to see the possible beauty in broken things. The end result definitely impressed me- and for that I am sooooo happy .
