Topsail Island, NC

Everyday I try to see the possibilities ahead. I wake up thinking today is a new slate and I am going to have a great day! Wrong. That never quite happens because I can't predict the unexpected, but I sure try. Making the best of your situations can, sometimes, be all the greatness you need in a day. Some days keeping your head above water is as great as it is going to get. That's okay, though, there's always tomorrow. The last 5 weeks consisted of my boyfriends birthday, moving out of our apartment, moving into our new home, getting all new furniture, starting the fall semester, going on vacation to Topsail, NC., a business trip in St. Louis for my boyfriend, and my birthday to top it all off. Needless to say I. Am. Exhausted. I thought this was how I wanted to live and maybe it still is but for right now let me sip on this hot tea while getting a bubble bath ready to gain back some of my lost energy.  Moving into our new home has gone surprisingly smooth. ...

Riviera Maya, Mexico

I'm finally home from a week in Mexico! Who knew I'd be so excited to come home?!  Here are a few of my favorite photos:   The beach was great (although I never complain about beaches)!    The food was decent, but what really impressed me was the quality of the meals and appetizers at the all-inclusive restaurants! In conclusion, I probably wouldn't recommend this resort to others and I would try another all-inclusive resort next time to see the difference between them!  I sound like a travel agent so let me get to the juicy details! In the mornings you could go to the buffet and get typical breakfast food (not the best in my opinion) but they had a great omelet station so I typically had omelets for breakfast! Occasionally I would...

Cotton Candy Skies

I recently went to Fort Myers Beach, Fl. There's always something special about that area. The brisk pace. Walks on the beach. AND Cotton Candy Skies. I don't normally wake up early enough to take these beautiful pictures, but one morning I popped out of bed and ran to the beach. The sleepy look on my face began to fade at the view. Whose wouldn't?! I'd do anything to have this view every morning but I'm beyond grateful for the weeks I have spent here and the happiness it brings me.
