NYC Rooftop Bars

Image
I am quite content making mixed drinks or having wine with my friends and having a girls night in, but sometimes I want to get out and see the sights. When I'm traveling, this is almost always the case. I mean... when's the next time I'll be here and have the chance to go to all of these places?! This brings me to the five rooftop bars I checked out in NYC. The Skylark- 200 W 39th St. You will get an amazing view, specialty drinks, and be left alone for the majority of the night. The drinks were good and obviously overpriced, but this is the city and you are right there by Times Square so it is to be expected. If location to the city center is important then go here! The manager was not very friendly, but our server was. They only allow a certain amount of people on the rooftop so try to plan accordingly. NYC Lovin'

There's a little debate going on in my head about whether or not I should post experiences from years ago on my blog. Then it finally dawned on me that those experiences made me the traveling, loving, food-addicted fashionista that I am. So here it goes.... I've posted before that I LOVE New York City. It's a completely different atmosphere than my usual surroundings. That being said let me introduce you to a few places that NYC brought to me (and I'm not just talking about Manhattan)! First and foremost there's Brighton Beach. It’s in the southern part of Brooklyn and a perfect yet unexpected getaway spot with great little shops and dinning! It's like a Baklava lover’s dream come true. The cutest little dessert and gelato shop had me hooked on sweets my entire stay. I even brought back a box for my dad! Cafe Rokhat had amazing food with a private outdoor room/ booth with air conditioning so the comfort level was top notch. Tatianna, a Russi...

The Big Apple

I'm a traveler inside and out. There's not much more exciting than discovering a new place to go. One of my favorites: NYC I also happen to love shopping. How original, huh? Well… I can tell you some of my favorite shops are in Manhattan. The most popular shops ranging from 5th Avenue to 40th - 57th St. They have just about everything there. (High-end, designer stores like Chanel to more affordable stores like H&M) I recommend checking out Herald Square by Grand Central Station. Also, the majority of my unique pieces were found in the SoHo area where you'll find stores that aren't in a regular city. If you're like me and plan on spending a good amount of your time in NYC emptying out your bank account I suggest creating a shopping plan as the city can be overwhelming. Happy shopping!
