Why to go Shopping in Dublin

Image
Here it is: the many reasons I prefer shopping in Dublin than in NYC. Most people would be shocked to hear that, but it's true. Now, hear me out. You may feel the same after reading this short post. All of these stores are within a half mile of each other. American Apparel Lush H&M Flagship Store Bridal Boutiques (de Stafford bridal and Aspirations Bridal, for examples) Souvenir Shops (Carrolls) Starbucks Patagonia Outlet Laduree  Abercrombie & Fitch (almost as fancy as their London store) Birkenstock The Loft Jewellers Tiffany & Co. Kiehl's MAC Cosmetics Aldo The Body Shop Lacoste Hilfiger Denim Everything from coffee to luxury shopping is located in the city center of Dublin. There is no shortage of restaurants, shopping, and beautiful buildings here. It may seem strange to come to Ireland and make a point to shop your heart out, but I'll admit I never intended to do that. It was just so perfect to get gift

Top 10 Things To Do in Florence

If you are anything like the travel-crazed person I am then you probably try to cram as many attractions in a day or short trip as you possibly can. Honestly, if you're traveling for less than a week and then heading back to your J.O.B. and home that might be the way to do it. For me, though, I prefer to spend time doing a wide variety of things while in a new place. I like to be like a local. I like to be like a tourist. I like to eat. A lot. I like to relax. I like to rush around. So, when I spent four weeks in Florence, Italy, I was able to do a little of all the things I like. That is good news for you because it means I have a pretty thorough idea of the top places to go, things to see, etc. Here they are: 1. Duomo This is top on my list because it is truly breathtaking. Whether you like art, history, views of the city, or cathedrals/basilicas/churches you can find it all right here, at the Duomo. Duomo is Italian for Dome and is a huge part of Cattedrale Santa Maria del

5 Coffee Shops to Try in Florence

Image
Caffè Gilli - this was close to my apartment and I actually bought a friends birthday sweets from their dessert/ candy counter Caffè Gucci - their sugars are in the shape of the Gucci symbol La Posta - for the traveler, this is perfect as it is decorated with postage lingo and stamps Coronas Cafè - it's not very common to see locals get a sweet and savory treat with their coffee, but this is my exception- get whatever you want- it's delicious! Bar Condotta - if your looking for something tucked away a little from Piazza Della Signoria give it a shot

Parisian Bliss

Paris has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. I got the chance to travel here with a few of my girlfriends and it certainly lived up to my expectations. Here are some of my must-see, engaging, and favorite parts of my stay. Ahhh, Luxembourg Gardens. One could sit around these grounds all day. Whether you want to have a picnic, watch the tourists, or enjoy the beautiful foliage this is the place to be. My mornings consisted of these views, coffee, and a pastry. When can I move here?? Some of the best and most unique shopping is located here, Place de la Madeleine.  From all over Paris you can see the Eiffel Tower. We didn't even look at a map to get there because we wanted to do a little exploring (some of my favorite travel memories are made this way). Views from the top of the Eiffel Tower. I made it a point to walk the steps as much as I could because when my parents came to Paris years and years ago their only option was to walk. M
